you don't have to use the windows taskkill
use the wineyes.exe /k command in a batch file.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\GW Micro\Window-Eyes\wineyes.exe" /k

then it will work accross all versions of windows.
the taskkill is not the same with all windows versions.

Hi Manny,

You mean something like this, which, incidentally, could just go in a
desktop shortcut:

%windir%\system32\taskkill.exe /f /im wineyes.exe

You know, it never even occurred to me to set up one, even though I have
this one in a shortcut for Internet Explorer, for when the browser hangs:

%windir%\system32\taskkill.exe /f /im iexplore.exe

Thanks for the inspiration,

Rod

Hi Rod,
When WE8.4 crashes the control insert f4 does not function, and the only way
to get WE8.4 back and running is with a batch file.

Hi Manny,

I don't know what shutout or fritz 12 are, but I don't know why you're
killing WE with a batch file. Use Control-Insert-F4 instead to shut down
WE.

Thanks,

Rod

Aloha to all,
When I run
shutout on Fritz 12
WE8.4 becomes corrupt and stops talking.
Control backslash does not work.
I run my kill window eyes batch file, then I start we8 again and I am up and
running.
Any thoughts on how to fix this odd behavior?
This happens in windows 7 and 8 and 8.1
many thanks,

Manny
