Hi Chris,
Sounds like you're in the wars. Which OS are you running? One thing
about web-type interfaces is that the Suspend Refresh rotor,
Alt-Shift-M, should be toggled to Suspend Off, and, in the specific
application, save the setting if possible. Suspending can hang
Window-Eyes when the application is aggressive. This is just one idea
for you.
Another is to ensure you have a good anti-spyware program installed like
Malware Bytes, and here's a link to it in my DropBox:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3msb6bmwwk358om/malware%20bytes%20-%20mbam-setup-1.75.0.1300.zip
This version of Malware Bytes is pretty accessible, but be sure to click
on the Updater tab and un-check the boxes which update the software to
the newest version and then click exit. The malware definitions will
still update just fine. I'm thinking west beach 16 might be malware.

I have had a lot more crashes lately. Often, on the rare occasions I
get Window Eyes talking again instead of having to restart the
computer, I have one of several windows open that I did not
intentionally open. the first is titled West Beach 16. The second is
titled Kill Wineyes and has a bunch of information that makes no sense
to me in it. this one must be connected to the fact that I still often
use the Kill Window Eyes app with the shortcut combination of control
+ alt + F4. This one will work more often than my kill wineyes batch
file, so I tend to still use it. The third one is a window letting me
know that Internet Explorer has stopped responding and asking me if I
want to close the application. Which I always do since Window Eyes
will not speak properly until the instance of Internet Explorer in
question is closed.
I think that most of the crashes are connected to Internet Explorer.
They can happen when I am using Accessible RSS Reader, Firefox,
Windows Live Mail, or about any other application, but even in these
cases, there is generally at least one instance of Internet Explorer
up and running in the background.
The regularity of these lockups and crashes is getting more and more
annoying. I can't seem to find anything specific wrong, so I have no
idea what might be a workable solution. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
chris
