Hey, people. The fact that I misspelled older with olver didn't help get my message across, that is certain. I am using WE 7.5.4.1 with the newest version of VLC.
So the question I should have asked, probably, is did any version of VLC player work with WE seven point five point four point one? The problem is that it has been some time and I did not stop because it stopped working, but rather because I pretty much stopped using my PC to play DVDs, so if it stopped working at some point, I do not know when. But the period when I was using it was definitely pre WE 8. Maybe I am lost in my memory here, but if the VLC uses QT, then I wonder if the QT support of WE first was introduced in WE8. Prior to that, I think you needed an extra app from app central. Seems like initial user of this thread, was trying to set things up under WE7.5. For the playback of DVDs, I personally have been using the CCCP player, that you find on Ninite.com.
