I have attempted unsuccessfully to create a definition in the exception
dictionary for the m-dash and n-dash characters. I've tried two approaches: 1)
routing the cursor to the character and then pressing Ctrl-Shft-E and moving to
the exception dictionary and 2) pasting the particular character into the
"Original" field and typing in a description into the "Replacement" field.
Neither pronounce the replacement when the character is encountered.

Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks in advance.
