Hi Craig,
I think that I've found the problem. If I'm logged in to gMail, than the
Google home page comes up as a combo box. If I log out of gMail, then the
next time I go to Google, a standard edit page comes up. It does the same
thing in Firefox 30.0.

Bob, I had this problem recently. Went I went into "Tools -> Internet
Options -> General," pressed the "Delete" button, and selected Cookies
and Temporary Internet Files and Website Files, the box became an edit
box again.

Hello Bob,
On your desktop machine, open up Google, move to the top of the page, and
Down Arrow until you hear something like, "screen reader users, click here
to turn off Google Instant." Press Enter, and the page should act like it
used to. Alternatively, visit www.google.com/preferences, check the radio
button which says, "never show instant results,", and press the "Save"
button.
Regards,
Steve

Hi,
I have Google set as my home page on both my desktop and laptop
computers.. They are both running Windows 8.1 and Window-Eyes 8.4. On my
desktop machine, The Google edit box to enter search info has been
replaced by a combo box. Both computers are running IE 11.
Any thought as to what is going on?
