Yeah, but SAPI is another Microsoft platform that offers a performance
hit as well. I have the Ivona voices because I like them much more than
Vocalizer and wish they were the chosen one for direct support. The
difference in performance is very noticeable.

As Tom pointed out, this appears to be specific to the synthesizer you
are using. In addition to the premium synthesizers that are available
for purchase, you can also use the free eSpeak speech synthesizer as it
is included with the version of Window-Eyes for users of Microsoft Office.

Hello, I thought that I could get WindowEyes to stop pausing between
lines when reading long documents with Control shift R, but with the
default voice that comes with the free version, I can't cause this to
happen. I thought it would be the trigger delay, or the space threshold,
but changing both of those options to a lower number didn't affect this.
Is there something else I can change to make the reading more fluid? I
would like the program not to pause so long between sentences.
