yes it does.
but you do not have to log in with windows 8.1 either.
open the run dialog and type in userpasswords2
if it is on windows 8 then it will give you the option to log on
automatically if you have a password like you do with windows 7

on my new computer which
is running windows 8.1, I'll have to type in a username and password
before I can use the desktop. Usually when I install Window-Eyes, I
generally select the quick install option. So I'm just wondering, if
when I install Window-Eyes on the 8.1 machine, even if I select the
quick install, at the point of the installation where we're asked to
reboot, once the machine does so, will Window-Eyes detect the login
screen and automatically read it so that I'll be able to type in my
username and password with speech? Thanks.
