I really hope that the next version of WE brings back using the mouse
keys with Internet Explorer. When this function went away one of the
main people at GW told me that he didn't think it was a necessary or
useful thing to be able to use the mouse keys with Internet Explorer. I
only hope enough users have complained enough to change his mind.

Hi,
In some cases like Internet Explorer, currently mouse functionality
doesn’t work.

I am in the process of making the move from a Windows XP system to
one with Windows 7 as the OS. I am still trying to figure a lot of
things out, but one of my most pressing questions is regarding the
mouse pointer. I use what vision I have to look at the screen and
use to use the mouse pointer to read me the text I wanted to hear,
but this doesn't seem to work any more in Windows 7. Is this
something that is gone forever, or am I not changing the right
setting? I am running the latest version of Window Eyes and my
machine is a 64 bit system. I think I'm running Windows 7 Home, but
am not certain. Until I get my deck talk hooked up again, I'm using
Elequence.
Thanks,
Jon
