Hello,

I have some questions not specifically related to WE, but more about screen readers in general. I'm trying to start a WordPress blog, and thought I had selected a theme that would work well with screen readers. In looking at the result, however, I see that the About link is presented like part of a list. So as you arrow down, you hear, "List 1 with 1 item; link About; end of list 1." Is there a way I can fix that, to avoid so much chatter?

Also, my blog title is at Heading 1, while my first post is at Level 3. Can I do something about that, or do I have to look for a different theme? Can you change your theme, once you have already chosen one for your blog? The theme I'm using is called Manifest. If anyone knows of a free WordPress theme that is more screen-reader friendly, please let me know.

Please reply off-list, so as not to clutter GW Info.

Thanks for any help,
Paula
