Robert: no mistake - the manual online explicitly does not mention a separate power supply within the box.
Maybe you are inaccurate yourself, or maybe the manual is inaccurate, but in the absence of a physical unit, I can only go on what the manufacturer publishes. I does seem that people are confusing models, which seems an easy enough thing to do due to the series number being the same across several configurations. There was a problem obtaining it, but if you talk to the company you will, I am sure, be able to get one now. Reading the manual now. Best. Note there is no power supply so you need to connect the USB to something if you plan to use Bluetooth. I do know that the older 640 is directly identified, so maybe the same default hot keys and direct input apply with the newer model. I note the inclusion of NVDA as a built-in screen reader - presumably - the display will function without NVDA if told that another screen reader is preferred. > > A detail which I am not sure about is the advantages of disadvantages > of the cursor routing keys being in front of the braille cells, rather than behind.. This just might be personal preference - more used to the braille cells being closer to me than would be the case with the Alva. > > Any other thoughts will be appreciated. > > Thanks. > > Vaughan. > > > > ------------------------------- > This email and any attachments may contain information that is confidential and subject to legal privilege.
