Auto restartI am pretty much with you on this Jim. I wouldn’t mind the error reporting form being optional if there is some reasoning as to the diagnostic not being able to provide all of the information about what was going on when a crash occurred, but it would be absolutely wonderful if they were able to increase the sophistication of their diagnostic system to the point that it could just automatically give them a snapshot of everything pertinent that was going on when a crash happens. Having been dealing with some corruption in my current instal of 8.4 for over a year now, I can’t even come up with words enough to express how much I am looking forward to automatic shut down and restart. If the function could work so smoothly that it happens without any fanfare and just presents like a pause for the least amount of time the restart can be accomplished, it would be absolutely amazing. I don’t know how feasible having things go that way is, but here’ s hoping.

If a auto restart is done the program should not play the startup sound. The program should not speak the welcome message the program should just get back to work. Error reports should just happen automaticly if I like. Most of the time I have no idea nor is it my job to have an idea why an error is happening. I just want to send the error behind the seems and do what ever it was I was trying to do before the thing foo bard. Any restart should clear away the icon from the system tray of the old copy. This causes confusion having more then one iconon the system tray. Of course this causes you to not know witch icon for the program you should press. If you pick the wrong one yes the icon then goes away but you will probably find yourself in a context menu you don’t want to be in. Every problem I sight above is a problem with other screen readers that have this sort of feature. It is not pretty.
