Hello to all fellow window-eyes users and support staff:

Before I attempt this, and to avoid a lot of technical trouble, I felt it
would be best to ask first. Normally when we install window-eyes, the
installation will automatically select the computer's default soundcard for
window-eyes speech output. But, for those who dare to be different, I've
heard that some people can make their screen reader speak through another
soundcard other than the default. Or in some cases, if they have a
notetaker, and if the notetaker supports it, they can make their screen
reader speak through the notetaker's speaker, to free up the computer's
soundcard.

So with that said, after looking through the (devices) section of the
window-eyes control panel, under select synthersizer, I find that my usb
microphone, is listed in the select soundcard combo box. It's a microphone,
so why is it listed there?

The blue yeti has a slot to plug in headphones, allowing the user to hear
themselves while they're recording or using the mike for some other similar
purpose. If it turns out that this microphone can be used as a soundcard,
how would I fix it, so that window-eyes speech will project through it when
headphones are plugged into it, rather than through my default soundcard?
You see, I'm in the process of training to broadcast on ACB Radio
Interactive, and In order for the music I play to go out over the server, I
have to have stereo mix turned on. As a result, while I was connected to
their audition server, the station manager/trainer informed me that he could
hear window-eyes coming over the server along with the music. This would
cause a problem, because this would mean that when I'm on air for real,
listeners would also hear window-eyes and sounds from outlook. Is there a
way to fix that? The main thing here, is to get my voice and the music from
winamp broadcasted, without broadcasting window-eyes as well. As a second
option, my notetaker has a feature called remote synthersizer. I've never
used this option before so I don't know how it works. But if there's anyone
on the list who has ever tried it, how would I get window-eyes to talk
through the notetaker? I know that all of this can be solved by purchasing
an external usb soundcard, which I can do, but before doing that, I'd just
like to know if there was a way to channel window-eyes through a different
soundcard using the equipment I already have available to me first. Didn't
intend to make such a long post, but I just wanted to ensure that what I'm
asking was made clear. Thanks in advance for your help.
