My desktop is running windows 8.1. My primary screen reader is Window-eyes 9.0 although I also have the latest version of NVDA installed as well.

As I do not want either screen reader to come up talking at startup, I would like to know the most appropriate settings in the Window-eyes control panel to accomplish this. Currently, I hear both Eloquence Reid and eSpeak say Windows sign in frame. So, not only do I wish to silence Window-eyes at startup, I also want to silence eSpeak. I have assumed possibly incorrectly that the NVDA setting might be in MS config. But MS config looks so different in 8.1, I can't figure it out.

So if anyone knows what to do to silence eSpeak at startup, please tell me.

Thanks in advance for feedback.
