this is not entirely true. if there is no set file associated with the program it will use the default.set file, which does not have the voices turned off. open the w e control panel while kurzwil is running to see if it has a kurzwil set file associated with the program. i do not have the set files installed so i do not know what the file name is. if it says default.set then open the files pull down with the alt key, arrow to settings, tab to the list of set files and search for the kurzwil set file and press enter on it. the dialog will show the set file that is loaded. click on ok. now arrow to associations. open the tree view to default set file. tab to the set file name, probibly kurzwile.set. tab to association. it will say none. arrow through the list to by class. then tab to save and associate the set file with the program. also check in the w e control panel. open the settings pull down with the alt key then arrow to factory settings to see if the kurzwile set set file is installed. and check all the set files to make sure they are all up to date. many times when you install a new version of w e some of the set files might be out of date.
