Hi Don,
I had to have my husband adjust the strap, so don't feel bad.Yes, taking the
sync braille and vs to church was really nice.
I'm looking forward to next week.

Hi Stacey,
Glad you finally got to take the combo to church as I know you were upset
a while back when your syncbraille got sick.
I still haven't figured out how to shorten that strap, so will let my wife
do it as she seems to figure out things like that better than I do. It's a
good sturdy strap too.

Hi Vicki,
I just took my syncbraille 20 and vs to church in the combo case and it
worked out great.
I love the weight of the two together. It's much lighter than the mPOWER
32 I had before. I wasn't able to keep the mPOWER and buy these.
It does take a few seconds for the display to come up.
After returning from church, I had to reset my vs to make it see my
display.
Alls well now though.
I like the strap on the combo case because I can get it just the right
length for me. I am short, so this has been a challenge with other
notetaking devices in the past.

Subject: Re: [GWN] VS and SyncBraille combo case
The combo case does make it easier to carry the VS and SyncBraille
together, and I have the 20 cell SyncBraille, so I can't really complain
too much about the size. And, although I personally do prefer thinner
rather than fatter, I do understand why the decision was made in this
situation.
I guess, though, I still often use my mPower when out and about, rather
than my VS and SyncBraille in the combo case, because I like being able
to very quickly open the case and turn the unit on and readily have the
Braille access. And, with the VS and SyncBraille, one has to open the
combo case then the VS case, and then wait the few seconds for the
Braille display to be active. Then, as I believe Mary Ellen eluded to,
there doesn't seem to be a way to fold the flap of the combo case
underneath the unit, thus a somewhat larger case flap is potentially
sticking out for other passengers on the bus to bump as they walk by me
going to their own seats. also, I like the fact that I can both
silently turn the mPower off as well as on.
All in all, though, I'm happy with my purchase, knew at the time I was
buying two separate units and do like the portability that the two
afford, both together and separately. Now, had the BSP been available
when I made my purchase, I may have very well chosen that option
instead, but that is now something to possibly look forward to in the
future.
