Hi Vicky. One thing which you can do when you have the combo case open completely is bring the flat forward as if you are going to close it. Instead of closing it however, tuck the end of the flap under the back of the Voice Sense case so it does not stick out as much in front of you. Hope this helps.

The combo case does make it easier to carry the VS and SyncBraille together, and I have the 20 cell SyncBraille, so I can't really complain too much about the size. And, although I personally do prefer thinner rather than fatter, I do understand why the decision was made in this situation.

I guess, though, I still often use my mPower when out and about, rather than my VS and SyncBraille in the combo case, because I like being able to very quickly open the case and turn the unit on and readily have the Braille access. And, with the VS and SyncBraille, one has to open the combo case then the VS case, and then wait the few seconds for the Braille display to be active. Then, as I believe Mary Ellen eluded to, there doesn't seem to be a way to fold the flap of the combo case underneath the unit, thus a somewhat larger case flap is potentially sticking out for other passengers on the bus to bump as they walk by me going to their own seats. also, I like the fact that I can both silently turn the mPower off as well as on.

All in all, though, I'm happy with my purchase, knew at the time I was buying two separate units and do like the portability that the two afford, both together and separately. Now, had the BSP been available when I made my purchase, I may have very well chosen that option instead, but that is now something to possibly look forward to in the future.
