Hi. So far it has not mattered what brand of card you use. WinCE5 seems to be more forgiving of the brand used. The only thing is the card must be formatted in the FAT32 and not NTFS. Most cards by default are already formatted this way so if you have no idea what I'm talking about, then you don't need to worry about it. <smile>.

Daveed and others, we hope to have a public beta soon and within a month we hope to release the next update which promises to have lots of cool things.

Many thanks.

And I assume it won't matter what brand either. I'm asking because I have a bookport and I got a 4GB card once that was on sale, a brand I had never heard of and it didn't work. It wouldn't play the music once I transferred it.

Have an awesome day! God Bless you. Celeste and Dealer

It's the largest which is available at the moment unless I'm out of touch. And that is very well possible too <grin>. To answer your question however, the Sense notetakers should handle those cards and the higher memory ones as well. As you may or may not know, SD cards which are 4GB or more in memory are the SDHC standard and we support those so it should not matter what the gigabyte count is.

Is the 16GB SD and 32GB CF card the largest that is made or largest it will support.

That's exactly what I plan to do so I can use it for work, books music etc.

Hi. Because the Voice Sense is designed around total mobility, the case does not have pockets. If you have a 16 GB SD card and a 32 GB CF card inside it, you have over 50 Gb of storage in the unit. A friend of mine got a fanny pack and puts her Voice Sense inside the larger compartment of it. Since the fanny pack has additional pockets, she puts her GPS receiver in one, Outi bone conduction ear phones in the others, and an extra memory card or two as well.

Hope this helps.

OO, sorry for those spelling errors folks.
Pockets on th eVS case would be very handy for people who only have th evoice sense. Where do they put accessories?

I also think the case that comes with the VS leaves something to be
desired. I don't like how the sides of the unit are totally
unprotected, and there are no pockets.

Hi Mary Ellen,I'd love to see a way that the case could be made thiner when closed so you could fit in to a purse or bag easily. I think having the vs on top might be what makes it so think. I wonder if a case could be designed so that the vs was behind the
        display but not above it?

I agree that its too fat. It looks mighty cool to have the
voice sense above it and on a plane it would marvelous to
write with, however the material needs to fold underneath
and there needs to be a velcro strip on the flap of the case
            to make sure it closes.
Hims has to go back to the drawing board and redesign the
whole thing so that the display could have a removable
pannel like the Pacmate Braille Displays do and the machine
could fit into it some way.
The Sync Braille is wonderful on my desktop because I can
tuck it on my lap and check things.
            But I digress ...!

                Hi,
I purchased the SyncBraille and VS combo case a couple weeks ago. I am glad to have it, as it makes using the
two cymultaniously much easier. The only complaint I
have with it is the size. This may be because I have
the 32-cell version, but the case is even bigger than a BrailleNote, and I wish it had a larger pocket to store
stuff in given its size. When using sense nav while
walking, I probably won't be using the SyncBraille for
this reason. What do others think of the case?
                 Eric
