I just tried this and had no problem.
Try this. Enter th date December 1 2008. Do it like this. 12 and then
space 01 then space 2008 and then space to hear the year. press tab twice
to hear what the day of the week is.

Oh, smile. The solar calendar is used in the Western countries and the
Lunar Calendar is used for the Asian countires like Korea and China and
places like that. The Sense Products are manufactured in Korea, so
they
put in the solar and lunar calendars automatically. It's interesting
because for folks who are Korean or Asian, they can read both calendars
without any difficulties. It comes in handy for my family when we look
up Korean Thanskgiving and things taht fall on a different calendar
system, but for me, of course, I stick with the solar calendar to look
up days or plan my appontments.
