Hi Steve,
I just tried playing with the calendar on my voice sense.
I typed in computer Braille with dropped numbers, no number sign or dashes
or anything in between. I typed
1 2 space and it said December.
2 6 space and it said 26th
Then I tried 80 and pressed enter, when it said invalid entry.
So I typed in computer Braille all the numbers again, only this time typing
in 2008 and it found it correctly after pressing enter or tab.
I also typed in grade 2
number sign 1 2 then space and the VS said December. I Then tried pressing
another number sign and it protested with it's little warning sound, so I
backspaced to see what was there and it had automatically put in a slash
symbol. So then I went ahead, with no number sign and in literary Braille
typed in 26 and the VS said 26th and I spaced and typed in 2008 and pressed
enter, which still left it saying Solar Calendar, December 20, 2008. So I
tabbed around to the other edit field and sure enough, it gave me lunar and
then day of week, which in this case is Friday.
Hope some of this is helpful as you're trying to sort all this out.

When in the calendar you can enter dates in computer braille.
For exammple 11 11 2008. Press tab twice to hear Thursday.

Oh, smile. The solar calendar is used in the Western countries and the
Lunar Calendar is used for the Asian countires like Korea and China and
places like that. The Sense Products are manufactured in Korea, so
they
put in the solar and lunar calendars automatically. It's interesting
because for folks who are Korean or Asian, they can read both calendars
without any difficulties. It comes in handy for my family when we look
up Korean Thanskgiving and things taht fall on a different calendar
system, but for me, of course, I stick with the solar calendar to look
up days or plan my appontments.
