Hi Don, I probably should write you privately but my question may have appeal to the entire list.
I'm assuming when listening to a Daisy file, the text from the Daisy File doesn't show on an external Braille Display! Is this correct! If my hunch is correct, loading the web page would have the material show on the display! I assume that is right! Also, if material was in dot BRF file format, this would show on my Display if I had one! Is this correct? Thanks much! Hi Jim, Yes, I think the site went live just yesterday or maybe the day before, but they'll get the kinks worked out. I still have to play with it a bit more to figure out just how everything works. I receive the email newsline every day, but I really like this approach better as I find the daisy files a bit difficult since you have to depend on the internal reading voice to get the material unless you're using braille. And, I can't stand the two stream voices even though I really like all other aspects of the machine. I know Raul said they are looking at making the daisy interface much easier to use in the sense products and I certainly hope that happens sooner than later as I really don't mind the sense voice. But, definitely getting several options to choose from now and that's a good thing. It really wasn't all that long ago when blind people just didn't have easy access to complete newspapers period. How time have changed. But, we're still picky aren't we? <grin> Don ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Aldrich" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 02, 2009 6:35 PM Subject: ***SPAM*** Re: ***SPAM*** Re: ***SPAM*** [GWN] Newsline Online is awesome! > Hi Don, > > Yes!
