Hi all,

I have a generic curiosity regarding daisy books. But before I ask, let me
just say that there is absolutely no criticism intended here, I am just
genuinely curious.

For a while now, people have made a lot of fuss about how much they like
daisy books. So, this winter I downloaded one from Bookshare, just to try
and figure out what it is that people like so much. And I couldn't. It was
the same eloquence speech, and it felt to me to be about the same as just
taking a txt, Word or Brf file, placing it on the Braille Sense, and issuing
read commands. So my question is, what exactly is it that makes reading a
daisy book preferable?

I know this is only tangentially related to the BS, so if anyone would
prefer to write off list, you can do so at [email protected]. And thanks in
advance to all who are willing to answer my question.

Cheers,

Donna
