Hi,
This is abnormal... Some folks in Korea had similar problems. So folks there
recommended gently wiping the battery contact terminals to see what happens.
To do this, take out the battery (find the battery latch, then pull it so
that the battery can dislodge). Then wipe the terminals with dry cloth, then
recommenect the battery.
Also, try these steps:
* Fully charge the unit, then use the battery until the unit turns off.
Recharge the unit at least four hours and see what happens.
* You might have left the WiFi/Bluetooth turned on (in case of Braille Sense
Plus/QWERTY). If you have, turn it off.
For maximum battery life, I suggest that you take out your battery when
using AC power and store it somewhere where it will not receive direct
sunlight. Be sure to fully charge your battery before doing this.
It is normal for all batteries to lose capacity. Braille Sense is not an
exception. After a year or two, the battery needs to be replaced. To prolong
the battery life, just like laptop computers, use your battery when
absolutely needed. In other times, especially when using AC power,
disconnect the battery. Also, perform full discharge/recharge once every two
months or so (after about thirty discharge/recharge cycles to update the
battery meter).
Cheers,
Joseph P.S. Just few tips on battery... Be very careful when handling
batteries.

Subject: [GWN] Battery concern

Hi:
I'm just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them and what it might
mean.
I generally plug the bs+ in when I go to bed so it's fully charged in the
morning. I used it on battery to download my mail and then briefly to delete

some mail. I turned it on later, it was still on battery power and got the
error message that the battery was below 5% and the machine would shut off
in 1 minute. I plugged it in immediately and checked the charge status, it
said 1%. about half an hour or more later it still said 1%, then it suddenly

leapt up to 925 and ow claims to be fully charged. This is the first time
this has happened so it could well be a glitch. It does concern me though
that the battery might be going, I've only had it a little over a month.
Is this what happens when the battery starts to fail?
Thanks.
Tessa
