Hi! Thanks for responding. I'll hook it up and see what's what. Should I do it via USB, or use the network cable? I don't do this that often but should do more.
My power saver is set, but I'll think I'll change it. -----Original Message----- From: Joe Giovanelli [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, August 03, 2009 9:05 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [GWN] Frustrated Hi, Martha, It's hard to imagine losing the Flash Disk. Can you connect your unit to a PC and see what's present? I wonder if the Flash is there. It not supposed to lose that drive. As for the problem with the schedule manager running your battery down, I think you can solve that one by setting the power saver to some specified time. Even with the schedule Manager running and an alarm sounding, the power will turn off even with these things running. I've played with this and know it works. I have no idea where data such as addresses is stored. Settings can be backed up and restored. If you did a backup, you can try to restore settings. I wonder how much data can be salvaged. I was gone most of Saturday afternoon, and apparently, the BS turned on to alerts me of something on my calendar. Whatever the cause, I went to input something last night, only to find that everything said "no list". When I discovered about the power not being available, I plugged in the unit. The charger got a bit hotter than usual, but it turned off once the unit was charged again. I entered something Saturday night while it was plugged in, and everything was fine. \ > Last evening, I went to find a file, and discovered I have no files, no calendar, and the database fails to open. I guess I really messed up this time. I don't mind too much about the data, but I guess the whole business upsets me -- especially because I've lost the flash disk. > I don't know if there's any help, but to restore at least my database so it will at least open ... I don't know if any of that can be done. I'm afraid to start re-entering info without a flash disk. > If there's help, I'll take it.
