Marth, all of this does make sense. It's just a matter a few things.

I'll give you more details than you probably need. We need to get you
straightened out.

As I said in my previous post, go to Options with space-o.

Use space dot 4 or dot 1 to go through the options until you find the one which
turns on what I think they call "mobile disk." One would think it should be
called "flash disk" but I think it's called "mobile disk." In fact, I just
checked this. It's the last item in the list, so you can go immediately to it
using space-dots 4-5-6. Be sure it says "on."

Make sure the unit is charged so you won't have a power problem before anything
else.

Boot your computer. Plug the USB cable into both the computer and the Braille
plus.

If you're lucky, the computer will recognize that you have a new piece of
hardware and will identify it za USB mass storage drive and might identify its
drive number. You should be presented with a few choices arrow through them
till you find the one which says something like: "Open folder to view." Press
"enter" on that. Hopefully you'll find the Flash Disk. If so, open it by
pressing "enter." Hopefull find your data as well as some data related to the
operation of the BS.

If you find all of this, power down your computer and only then should you
disconnect the USB cable.

Now see if you find the Flsh Disk by going to File Manager. Flash Disk should
be the first thing shown — maybe the only thing.

Open it by pressing "enter." This should show you your files and folders.

If you ever did a backup using Utilities, use that same submenu to restore what
may have been lost when the unit crashed.

If you have not done this, do so once you have gone through all the options,
carefully choosing those which you might wish to change.

Check the Address Manager and the Schedule Manager to see if there's data. If
not, you'll have to enter it again. Back up the data when prompted to do so as
you close these applications.

Then do a full back from the utilities menu.

Let's hope this helps.

Joe G.
