Hello. Currently the Sense notetaker database is only compatible with
itself. So you cannot import or export records to be used on other
platforms such as Excel or Access.

You may be able to accomplish what you want as follows:
1. Open the database manager and choose an existing database. If you're
designing one from scratch, the low-tech approach is
to put each field and its characteristics on a three-by-five
card then move the cards around until you have the order you
want, then enter the information into the table manager. If
later you want to add fields, or rearrange the order of
existing fields, you'll have an existing database with which to work.);
2. Press space-plus-m to open the database manager's main menu;
3. Select table manager (enter-plus-t);
4. tab twice (space-plus-dots 4 and 5), or press m, to choose
"modify table" . Pressing enter there will open the modify
table dialog box;
5. tab twice to get to "add field" and add your new field. As
you noted, it will be put at the end of the table;
6. Go to the bottom of the field list to find the field you
just added. Tab across to the "previous field" button.
Pressing this button moves your new field up one position and
moves the field from that position down, swapping their
positions. If you then keep going to the field list to be
sure you're still working with your new field and tabbing
across to press the "previous field" button, you can continue
to move your new field up the list until it occupies the
position you want. All the fields you have moved down as you
moved the new one up will retain their original order. If for
example, you start with a nine-field table, add a new one and
move it up to position three, the modified table will have
fields 1 and two in their original positions, field three will
be the one you just added, and the fields which used to occupy
positions three through 9 will now occupy positions four through ten.
I hope there either is or will be a more efficient way to do
this; but this is what I've found so far.
