The Braille Sense and Voice Sense in many ways are like PDAs for the
blind. On a PDA for sighted people, it's probably not going to be used
for thousands of email messages. Since the Sense notetakers build an
index file when the inbox is loaded, the updating and building of this
index file would take longer when there are more messages. Personally I
try to keep less than 1000 messages in the inbox since the email program
doesn't have features such as automatic sorting of mail into other folders.
Many thanks.

Just to comment on my experience with too much email. I understand that the
program will use as much space as the bs+ has available, but so far here's
my experience.
First my flashdisk has about 5 to 6gb of freespace.
I've been testing out the email limits by loading as much as I can into the
program.
At about 3,000 messages the bs+ starts acting up, or at least my particular
unit does. The inbox is very slow to load, taking 5 to 10 seconds between
percentages, so overall taking several minutes to load the entire inbox. At
4,000 messages I found it took about 4 to 5 minutes just to load the inbox,
and when adding new mail after the mail had been downloaded it took what
seemed a long time for the new mail to be intigrated with the current list.
Large messages take a minute or two to open, I don't know if that's normal
or if it's a result of too much mail. Large being 50k or so.
I found that several messages when opened gave me the dull ding, but oddly
enough the unit didn't freeze solid but would allow me to exit out of the
message and go on to something else. Unfortunately it did freeze up while I
was saving the inbox after deleting some 600 messages.
So, with this particular machine it appears that 3000 messages is about the
practical limit for the inbox. Not to mention that getting around amidst
that many messages and finding anything is a challenge in itself.
