Toni, Lots of displays have bluetooth connectivity and braille output. The list I have so far consists of Braille connect, alva bc640+feature pack, Handytech braille star brailleno and easy braille, and all of the note taker solutions such as the braille sense and braille note. What they don't offer is flexibility in terms of size. Most are 40 sells and that's it. Some, like the braille star offer an 80 sell. I think what you need to be looking at is either a brailleno from handytech or a brailleconnect 24. These are in the same class and have the features you want for about the same price. All you need to do is go in and look at them side by side and decide which you like the feel of best. I'm using a braille connect 32, and I've got it running on my mac, and windows under jaws and window-eyes. All in all, I think the best support for it is on window-eyes, but mac is making great strides and I'd consider it equal to WE at this point if I could write grade two braille on it.
I'd love to hear how your friend got the cb to work on the mac. I haven't tried the braille sense since upgrading to sl, but I never did get it to work on Leopard and every one else I talked too had no better success than I did.
