I rather doubt it. After all, the Book Sense hasn't been out all that long
and I dare say HIMS would like to push its sales. yes, I know HW has NLS
coverage on the Stream and on the BN but it has sold enough Streams that it
really doesn't have to worry much about sales being impacted by having NLS
authorization for the BN.
This all is, of course, just a guess and is, therefore, worth just about
what you paid for it, i.e., zilch. But I suspect NLS would want it pretty
thoroughly documented that the BS and VS were relatively hack-proof.
In the end, though, it's up to GW Micro and HIMS -- that's what NLS
personnel have told me.

have you heard any news lately about whether or not the sense note takers
are going to support NLS someday? I know at one point they said that they
would. I'd like that so I'd have a backup unit. I may have to send my
booksense in for repair. The sleep timer is doing a strange thing. If I
put it on the sleep timer it turns off, and I hit the clock button before
I turn it on, it locks up. This only occurs when I'm reading on the flash
disk, when I read on the SD everything works fine. Weird, huh?

Don't worry about it. You're just fine. The braillesense is supposed to
go to the HIMS site and retrieve the upgrade files when you select the
upgrade item. But, apparently the files aren't currently on the site for
whatever reason.
When there is an available upgrade, it will be announced loud and clear
on this list, so just stay tuned.

As for the upgrades, Korean users have up to 5.31 (mostly fixes to 5.2
release). Even with the latest upgrades, some users reported issues
such as
slowed performace when playing video files, compatibility issues with

mp3 files and so forth.
