Actually I think I see that I might have the latest and greatest for the
BrailleSense, but nothing new seems to be available since December of 08.
So the question is, will there be anything new for the good old BrailleSense
any more?

Don't worry about it. You're just fine. The braillesense is supposed to
go to the HIMS site and retrieve the upgrade files when you select the
upgrade item. But, apparently the files aren't currently on the site for
whatever reason.
When there is an available upgrade, it will be announced loud and clear on
this list, so just stay tuned.

Well, what version of Sense firmware do you have? If you have 5.0 or
higher,
you cannot perform Internet-based upgrades anymore. Even Korean users
were
confused about this one. According to the upgrade instructions for
versions
after 5.0, HIMS says to download and perform the storage card based
upgrade
- that is, with a specified firmware files.--Source: HIMS Announcement

upgrade instructions on firmware 5.2, retrieved August 2009. This is
mostly
due to the newer Windows CE operating system under firmware 5.0 and
higher,
according to HIMS bulletin.--Source: HIMS bulletin post on

As for the upgrades, Korean users have up to 5.31 (mostly fixes to 5.2
release). Even with the latest upgrades, some users reported issues
such as
slowed performace when playing video files, compatibility issues with
some
mp3 files and so forth.
