Hi, folks. Over the past couple of months, I've run into a snag often when I've attempted copying files--even a single word-processor file--from my Braille Sense Plus' hard drive to an SD or flash card. Single files sometimes transfer OK, but sometimes they don't. Multiple file groups almost never transfer properly now, though they used to transfer seamlessly in the first few months I owned my BSP. The problem does not seem to be specific to just one card, because I can aalways accomplish what I need to by hooking the BSP to my computer via the USB port and then doing a cut-and-paste to my card using Windows Explorer. Obviously, though, the internal transfer using just the BSP is most efficient.
What happens is that, right after initiating a transfer process, I get a notice on the Braille display that indicates 0% complete on the in-progress transfer. Then the unit freezes, and even after several minutes I cannot get to the file list or execute any other program. After I reset, the file I've attempted to transfer will appear on my card, but when I open it the file is blank--0 bytes of length, no content. What is the cause of this problem? What steps can I take to correct? Thanks and kind regards, -Kane If you wish to unsubscribe from this list, send a message to [email protected] and include leave gw-notetaker in the body of the message.
