Jo, I am an owner of a BSP, and I have also owned just about everything
imaginable that you could use to take notes. I was very involved in the
development of the Blazie Braille notetakers, and owned several of the
HumanWare models. For what it is worth, here are a couple of points:
1. The BSP is very quiet and the keyboard is better than any of those
others.
2. The word processor is good, except that the formatting options are
limited more than with other notetakers.
3. The Internet browser and wireless connectivity, as well as the ease in
which files can be transferred to your laptop are all pluses of this
machine.
4. The machine handles word files better than any other notetakers, but will
not handle Word 2007 files as of yet.
5. The one great drawback and it is significant to me, is the relatively
poor quality of the email and address book programs. They don't link to each
other, and you cannot save the emails you write as you would using Outlook
or Outlook Express. This is a major deficiency, and one that should have
been corrected long ago.
I also think the case of the machine is more fragile than HumanWare
products.
I am very happy with this choice and switched from both an Mpower and PK
when I did so, but the email issue is a major bug for me.
In summary, it's great for taking notes, writing documents, and the media
player is first rate.

feedback here as I had a notetaker a long time ago and I thought I had the
world by the tail with that BNS.
