I wonder if the problem isn't in picking the correct security encryption
and/or the proper key value for the encryption type. I use wep here as
that's really all that is required and I also have an older notetaker
which does not support wpa. For wep 64-bit encryption, the key must be
exactly 10 characters in length and can contain the numbers 0 thru 9 and
the alphabetical characters a thru f in either upper or lower case. The
key is case-sensitive which is why I find it easier to create my own key
rather than have the router generate it.
Since I don't use wpa here, I'm not as familiar with the key structure.
Other than that, sounds like you're probably doing everything exactly as
you should.
As I said in a previous message, I accepted all the defaults presented
by the braillesense, only changing to wep and entering the appropriate
key.

Are you absolutely sure you entered the correct key for your network? I
ask because it's easy not to get something in the proper case for example.
You should be able to turn on wireless which it sounds like you did.
Then go to setup internet. then select wireless lan. After several
seconds you should see the name for your network, possibly your router
manufacturer such as linksys.
I let my braillesense get the automatic settings for my router. The
only thing I changed from the defaults was to set wep key. Obviously,
if your router is using something else you'd select that. Then, enter
the key and be certain it is correct.
If you still cannot connect, I'd turn off encryption on the router for a
short test and see if you could connect the braillesense without
encryption. If you can, you'd know that the encryption is the culprit
and make any necessary changes to that.
Just e sure to enable encryption on your router again when you're
through testing.
Also, iff you have trouble connecting and try it too many times, you may
actually need to do a reset of the braillesense to get it to connect.

What I meant about File Manager was to go to utilities from
there. What kind of a message are you getting? Are you getting
