Hi Jim and All,
I don't have a Netgear router, but I did go and look on the web a bit.
When you said you couldn't get in after going to that login screen, were
you entering the login name of admin and the password of password, both in
lower case?

Subject: [GWN] Going round and round
Hello all!
Still going round and round with cable company! I located my old
router
with adapter. I simply plugged it into the wall. There
obviously isn't any
internet connected to it! Once I plugged in my old router, I
checked for
internet connections and my VS recognized it immediately! I was
asked for
the WEP code which I typed in from memory. The Voice Sense
connected to my
old router just fine complete with door bell! My old router is
an action
tech modem router combination which worked with my DSL
connection! My new
router is a Netgear WRN3500L. It plugs into a modem which is
connected to
the cable and phone etc. A software called digi do is used to
manage
everything including how everything connects. I've asked about
hidden SSID,
they said if SSID were hidden, nothing could connect. They
further stated
there was no need to go in and change settings since it is set to
optimum
settings, forget it, all is well! Despite what they say that I
have a b/g
connection, VS is left out in the cold. It cannot see the router
signal at
all! The VS sees my old router and others in the neighborhood,
but not
mine! Apparently mine doesn't exist for some reason according to
the vS
(grin smile)! I tried going into 192.168.1.1 as instructed on
the web. I
get the log in info but I can't get in.
This is where things are at this time with the vS problem! I
can't give you
settings because I'm unable to get them even from the cable
company! I'll
keep checking!
Take care and thanks for reading!
Jim
