I've owned a braillesense plus for almost a year now, and the voicesense
for some time before that.
I also owned an MPower for several years.
I switched to the braillesense plus for a couple of reasons. First, the
braille quality on the display is the best I've ever seen, and I
consider that to be very important as I primarily use braille output.
Secondly, I really like the user interface. I find commands are far
easier to remember than on the MPower and the interface is more
windows-like than the MPower.
The word processor is not as powerful as that of the MPower, but I use a
pc for formatting documents, and as long as I can make notes and write
simple documents, the braille sense meets my needs.
Although I do mostly use braille, I find the voice to be very good on
the braillesense and I personally like it better than that of the MPower.
The Apex is quite new and I have not seen one yet, so can't begin to
comment on it except to say that I do really enjoy changing from the
keysoft interface to the braillesense interface.
If I were looking for a notetaker today, it would be a choice between
the braillesense plus and the apex. It really comes down to what you
want to do with a notetaker. For me, the braillesense meets my needs
and I really like using it. But, it really is a personal thing and you
have to figure ot just what options mean the most for your situation.
I honestly feel the braillesense plus will meet my needs for a very long
time to come.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some points, but I do hope this gives you some
issues to consider.
