Hello Diane, Well here is another matter I have tried to address with both Freedom scientific, and GW. To answer your question, "No" you cannot use the Sync Braille with JAWS! You would need the drivers given to Freedom or given to you and you know how to install them using script within JAWS. I do not know all the process to get you these drivers but when I called Freedom, they said they could do it if they had the drivers to support the sync Braille from the manufacturer, and when I called GW to get this driver they did not really have a method to do so. I know there has to be a way for them to get you the driver since the sync Braille will work with Window eyes. If the driver is found in window eyes then it has to be accessible for them to get to us to use with the screen reader of our choice. After all we already bought their product in the sync Braille why not let us use it where and with what we choose? Sorry, I hope this helps.

For those of you who use a Sync Braille, can it be used with Jaws? I have bought my Voice Sense back in December, and use it with much pleasure. smile. I plan to buy a Sync Braille display (20 cell), some time this year. I use Jaws on my little NetBook computer, and would like to use the braille display with it from time to time. I will primarily be using the display with my Voice Sense, but I do like to check things I'm hearing on the computer at times. It would help me to understand what is on the screen, and how it is arranged. If you can use it, how did you get it to work? What needs to be done to make it work? Do I need to download something from Freedom to make it work? Thanks for any help with this.
