Hi Jim,
I'm happy with the update, at least the features I've tried.

Hi Stacy,
Very good! When I go out of town, I'll give it a try (grin smile)!
Take care!

Jim,
I like the new email functions and my browser seems to handle cookies well.

Hello!
My wife and I got the Voice Sense and we have been very happy with our
units. GW Micro has excelent customer support! You can't go wrong there! I
have seen a Braille Sense and they are really nice looking!
At this point in time, there is a new upgrade! Not many know about the
ins and outs of this upgrade so it is really hard to say how the sense products
work now that this new upgrade is in place. I for one would like to hear how
people like the changes in the email client as an example. I for one cannot
connect to the internet with my unit since my ISP uses an AES connection. I'd
need to try mine elsewhere. I did have some email saved in my unit I could
read and that exercise was most encouraging with the inbox, outbox, sent
messages and saved messages boxes. I think it is better but don't know whether
this new arrangement will address everyone's concerns adequately or not. I also
would like to know how nicely the cookies work with this upgrade! I would have
tried the Schwans site to see if I could place an order now! As I say, my
units don't work with the AES connection I have so am out of luck. I'll address
this specifically later! I think this is why there hasn't been a forthcoming
review as of yet! If I were in the market for either Apex or Braille Sense,
I'd probably go Braille Sense. Humanware finally addressed the wireless
internal adapter issue so nobody has to depend on those wireless plug in cards.
That was a big problem with the M-power. I have not seen the Apex so can't
give you any feedback about it at all! I have considered some other issues
which I will speak about in another post.
Take care!
Jim

Where can we find the list archives? I wonder if the topic has been
covered so many times that people aren't as forthcoming with their suggestions.
I'm very familiar with the mPower, only somewhat familiar with the Apex, and I
chose the Sense line of products because:
1. Closer similarity to the Windows environment
2. Logical command and menu structure
3. Mobile disk feature to avoid use of ActiveSync
4. Strong performing media player
I specifically chose the BSP because of the much quieter keyboard than
the Apex.
It's not that I want to send you to the archives because I feel no one
is interested in providing you a thorough response. It's just that I feel the
topic has been thoughtfully covered before, and it would be easier for you to
read those posts and then come back with specific questions so that you get all
the information you need. Remember GW has a comparison chart you can access
right off the product page. I'll post the link below for your convenience, but
if you can get your hands on a Voice Sense, I think you'll find that is truly
the best way to make an educated decision.
Best,
Joe

Subject: [GWN] Voice Sense reviews?
Hi all. I'd still love to hear from anyone who is prepared to share
their thoughts of the Voice Sense especially if they have experience of using
the humanware notetakers. Also, can anyone point me to any detailed reviews of
the voice sense please? I'd really be interested in hearing how good it is in
dealing with the internet, email and instant messaging. Also does it support
html email?
Many thanks again and sorry for all the questions.
Regards
Donna
