Well, Terri, Humanware picks up your equipment at no charge. However, if
they do repair or fix it and return it to you, you will pay $50 UPS. I've
shipped stuff to customers in Canada for a lot less and insurance was even
included.
Here in Denver, Humanware delights in charging me 8% sales tax; when I ask
why, they claim they're charging the sales tax that's applicable to
Westminster. Well, I HAVE NEVER lived in Westminster, why should I pay
their sales tax? If I can get Humanware to just give me their invoice
without any sales tax charges, I can go over to the City and State agencies,
show them the invoice and write them checks for the appropriate sales tax
for my locale.
This sort of problem I've never had with GW Micro even though I hate when
real important stuff we need in our adaptive equipment take a millennium to
make happen.
Sincerely,
Olusegun
