Don, I figured it out.
I needed to change the password box to computer braille.
That fixed it.
Thank goodness.

Stacey,

Ok, I just did a download and unzip on the voicesense after the unzip I saw files but couldn't seem to locate the .brf folder. I exited back to file manager at that point and then went to flash disc, download, and saw the book. I was able to open the book's folder and then the book itself which showed as 1/1 which was correct.

So, I really don't understand why you're having the problem, and don't have any thoughts on what might be causing it. All I can say is that it is working on my bsp and vs, both with the 5.5 software.

Sorry I can't provide anything more constructive.
Maybe it's the particular book, but that's a real shot in the dark and no more than a wild guess.

Hmmmm! I don't know. You have a voicesense right? I was doing it on a
braillesense plus. I'll try it with the voicesense. It works as it
should with the bsp. I also did both the download and the unzip on the
bsp. Will do the same on the vs and see what happens.
Why do I have two units? I got the voicesense before the bsp came out
and still actually use it at times along with the syncbraille.
BTW, I've also used the syncbraille successfully with window-eyes.

Don I'll try this again, but I think that's what I did, hold on.
I tried this and it is still telling me that there are no items in the
folder.
I've tried a reset with dots 1 through six and tthe function keys.
No lukc.
What could be happening.

Stacey,

This may be what's confusing. The book is downloaded to a folder with
a .brf extension, but it really is a folder. Press enter on it and you
will see the book name. Press enter on that and the book should open.

In otheer words, the created folder will have the bookname plus your
name with a .brf extension.

Pressing enter will give you a file with just the bookname not
including your name. Press enter on that and the book should load and
open.

Hope this makes some sense.

Hi Stacey,

Probably our messages crossed in cyberspace. Hope it will help.
When you look in the folder, are you doing that with the daisy player?
If so, you need to press spacebar on the folder to select it before
you try opening it with the daisy reader.

Hi all,
I have no trouble unzipping bookshare books on my laptop.
Can someone tell me exactly how to download and unzip them on the
voice
sense.
I download the book I want, then after it says it's successful, I
press
enter on it to unzip it, and enter the password when asked.
It says inflating and then something about password again, and then a
message indicating it is done.
When I look in the folder though, there's nothing there.
Please help.
I've tried resetting my unit but this didn't help.
What am I doing wrong?
Have a blessed day,
