Hi folks, While reading the responses to today's event, I thought I should bring this discussion to the table: Should a person who does not have a specific device but knows (and understands) the underlying features give advice? If a person has only one device but knows the workings and features behind another device (especially on devices which has almost the same family of operating systems and software), should that individual provide some suggestions for the other device based on general experiences using the underlying operating system for a while? The responses to the above queries would help future members (who are like myself) in determining when to speak and when not to, especially when it comes to advice on a forum like this. In my opinion, if these two devices share a common background and architecture, then I believe it is safe to give general advice on solving a problem - especially when it comes to solving a problem that is common to both of these units.
