Hi Everyone:
I've watched members on this list put their VoiceSense and BSP through a
number of paces. Now, it is my turn if I may say so.
I've just set up CREDIT/DEBIT CARD and Electronic Check Conversion
processing for my wee, small business. Rather than use speech and have
information on the screen read out loud, I want to use the BSP to read
information printed to the screen when I swipe a customer's credit card, or
run a check through the check reader/imager. This way, I can TURN THE VOICE
OFF in Window-Eyes when I am the cashier at the checkout counter. So here
goes my questions:
1. Can this act be performed with the BSP? I don't want to use a headset
or earbuds, the latter hurts my ears real bad and I hate them beyond words!
A headset with built-in microphone might make it hard for me to engage in
conversations with a customer who may have questions for me.
2. Can I use the BSP as a keyboard replacement? In other words, i'd like
my regular computer keyboard to take a vacation when I am at the checkout
counter as the cashier person for the day.
I sure hope what I am trying to accomplish is NOT A TALL ORDER, but I do
welcome your invaluable suggestions and thoughts. Much thanks!
