Hi,
First of all, you need to be connected to the internet for the
syncronization to time server to work. The braillesense uses the
internet to contact the time server. Usually when you turn on wireless
lan or otherwise connect to the internet, it should sync.
Also, sometimes the sense notetaker cannot connect to the time server
for some reason. This is really out of your control and doesn't happen
all that often although I have seen it a few times.
The best thing to do is to go into the utilities menu and over to set
dime and date. Hit enter on that and tab over to where it says
synchronize with time server and press enter to see if it can connect.
When I've had the first connect attempt fail and tried this method it
has almost always connected.

Regarding the schedule manager, first, I'm guessing there is still no
way to change the alarm sound? Does anyone else besides me think it
isn't quite loud enough? And, second, if a restore of personalized
settings is done, does one need to reset the date and time after a
hard reset to ensure the schedule manager works properly? It looks
like this is no longer necessary, as the time zone appears to be one
of the things restored, but I thought I heard somewhere that one still
had to set the time and date before doing this restore? Two examples:
my battery on the VS went flat overnight, as it was at twelve percent
before I went to bed, so had to do the hard reset to revive it, and
then I restored my personalized settings and the time and date and
time zone were correct; also, what about after an upgrade is performed
and the time and date were set correctly before doing the upgrade?
And, come to think about it, does the fact that the Sense note takers
can now synchronize with a time server come to play with this issue?
