The script is great as is. My feature request would be the option to hear single hard returns verbalized. It would be fine with me to hear them unconditionally but perhaps that is not what you want. There are times when, in the process of editing a doc, it is important for me to make sure that a stray hard return has not disguised itself as a soft return. I am able to locate them but this feature would simplify and quicken the process. Just a thought <smile>.
I love Outlook 2007. You may find ways to improve it that have not occurred to me when you write your Outlook script. One thing bugs me in Outlook though. When I receive a message, and suspect the source to be untrustworthy or forged, the process for obtaining all of the pertinent info, including the IP address, is rather cumbersome I think. Even if one still needed to go to a web site to verify the IP address, perhaps the relevant info could be displayed for the highlighted message. Sometimes the email address is enough once it is obtained, and the IP does not need to be verified. Take care and thanks for sharing your scripts. -----Original Message----- From: Chip Orange [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, May 25, 2009 1:09 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Word Script Thanks very much Janelle for the confirmation. If you have any requests, or are just having any difficulties in Office, please let me know; it helps me set priorities as to what to do next. I am looking forward to your future Office scripts. Thanks. I would truly appreciate it if you could answer that for me. So far I like the script and it works really well in word 2007. If I think of anything that needs to be added in the script I will let you know. -----Original Message----- From: Chip Orange [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, May 24, 2009 4:05 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Word Script if you have the format alert enabled in Word, as you arrow through the document it alerts you to changes in advanced paragraph formatting such as line spacing, keep with next and keep together settings, etc., and the outline level. this way you can go through the document quickly, without having to go into the paragraph format dialog to check these settings for each paragraph. Secondarily, it enables the display of comments if the document contains comments. these were both requested on the GW info list; so let me know if you have other feature requests.
