Ahmet,

You can affect this functionality to a degree with the read paragraph style setting, but, ultimately, the pause is usually up to the synthesizer.

Hello Listers and especially GW,
I wonder if it is possible to creat scripts which will enable the user
to take control of the silence times caused by the punctuation marks.
Namely, when Window-Eyes sees and passes the period or comma characters
to the synthisizer, is the speech pause completely controled by the
synthesizer, or does Window-Eyes determine the pause time? If it is
possible to control this pause through scripting (IE to make it
shorter), which objects and properties should I focus on?
Best regards,
Ahmet
