people have been mass-editing wikis for a long time, but I guess not many
blind people have been. I know html 4.0 fairly well, and didn't know the
wiki formatting commands (and still don't).
it would go a long way towards solving this if you were able to locate a
"beginner's primer" and put a link to it on the primary wiki page.

I'm sensing that, but I'm not sure why. Can you enlighten me? People have
been mass editing wikipedia for almost nine years now, so it's not
particularly new technology. And the editor isn't that much more complicated
(some would say less complicated) than your average blog interface.
