David,

This should work no matter what the active window is but without seeing your script I can only think of about one million things you could be doing wrong <smile>.

OK. This worked 98%.
I got the grade2 in most windows. But when I open a new message in Outlook Express, that is a received message, and then press my hotkey, the grade2 does not come on in the message window. I.e, when I read your reply to my question, the script does not turn on Grad2. Wonder why, since it works just fine in stuff like Notepad. Is this due to more overlooking from my part, or is there something strange going on? I did try to reload WE, just to see if that would clear things up, but it did not. Other windows show up in grade2, but non of my OE messages want to do so; no matter how many times I press my hotkey (Win-T). Thanks again,

    David,

The braille table and the Unified English option are global. Grade 2 however is set file specific. So you would do the
    following but this is set specific so if you alt-tab to another
    application for example, the setting may get changed back to
non-grade 2 for that set file.
    ActiveSettings.Braille.Options.Grade2Enabled = True

    In the list of Braille Tables, I have the US English as number
    one, and the British as number two. I am trying to have a script
    changing to number one, and also turn on the grade-two braille.
    Been searching through the manual for a couple of hours, but must
    have overlooked something.
The following script does change the Braille table well enough,
    but it doesn't turn on the Grade-two. Any idea?
Dim BTab
      Set BTab = ActiveSettings.Braille.TranslationTables.Item(2)
      BTab.UnifiedEnglishBraille = True
      BTab.Activate()
I have tried to swap the last two lines, but that helped me
    nothing. Thanks so much for your help!
