Window-Eyes 8 will not require Windows 7. At the most, it will no
longer support Windows 2000, as Microsoft no longer supports Windows 2000.

Ok, a question then for anyone at gw micro. that can answer this one.
when window eyes 8.0 comes out will there be a newer chainning method
that will force people to update to windows 7? meanning will the
chainning that works for xp still be in the window eyes program? for
video intercept? or will this be also totally revamped?

Hello Rick,
Yes on both counts. Are goal is to have this in the next major
release of Window-Eyes. I can't give you any dates at this point
but it is top priority for us.

Hi Doug et al: The Microsoft Product lines are implementing the
UIA Technology and using WPF extensively. This includes Visual
Studio, the Expression products, Silverlight and Office as well
as others. Is there a plan to fully implement UIA as a part of WE
in the near future?
Will WE make the UIA hooks available in the DOM model and handle
related methods, events and properties for scripting?
Thanks:
