The web site says .we files are forced to be Unicode. Do you allow UTF-8 or force UTF-16? I prefer UTF-8 whenever possible, but I noticed a lot of files on App Central use UTF-16. If UTF-16 is officially preferred, I'd be interested to know why, since both UTF-8 and UTF-16 can represent all Unicode characters, but UTF-8 takes way less space to do so and, if I'm not mistaken, is far less subject to byte-ordering problems. I also see some tools that flip out over UTF-16 files but not UTF-8 files, though admittedly the tools I've seen do this are either old, Unix- or Cygwin-based, or both.
