Bruce,

The PlaySound function just maps to the standard PlaySound function provided in the Win32 API. By default, the function plays audio synchronously (meaning that it won't return until the playback completes). If you want more control over audio playback, you can either import your own reference to the PlaySound function, use the MCI, DirectX, or look at the GW Audio Kit.

Hi!
I discovered one thing about the Playsound command in the object model and when entering something on the keyboard the same time the sound being played by playsound at the same time almost always locks up the keybaord, thus forcing a reboot... Has anyone else had the same problem? I have running in the background my Cuckoo Clock program that rings or plays a sound and voice every 15 minutes...
so, is there timing issues with the keyboard coming in to play?
        Sincerely
        Bruce
