Its main purpose is pronunciation dictionaries that can handle all characters rather than mere letters. I use it to great effect with foreign words by entering phonemes for accented letter combinations that then pronounce longer words more correctly than with the normal Window-eyes exception dictionary architecture. There is also an applet in the package called Captuer Spoken Phrases, which allows the end user to change how Window-eyes interprets phrases and symbols within applications. For instance, if you wanted Window-eyes to say Application Key rather than Context Menu, you could not accomplish this through any native Window-eyes key label, color, graphic or exception dictionary.
