ok, now scrolling with mouse wheel or touchpad works (sluggish, indeed: choqok with same accounts on Kubuntu Oneiric is much faster) but overlay scrollbars are unusable, they disappear before one can click & drag them.

I see this specifically in Gwibber. Scrolling by clicking on the scrollar tab works fine. Steps to reproduce: 1. open an application with a long content (as a gwibber stream), probably just for those that use overlay scrollbars 2. move your mouse wheel up or down to have the window content scroll 3. notice that nothing happens to the content of the window Expexted behaviour? Should be able to scroll with the mouse wheel, as in previous releases.
